If you become part of the cast, we need to know you are willing to commit the time it takes to produce a top-quality show. Thus, we ask that you review the rehearsal schedule, posted on our website, before you audition. Some notes about this rehearsal schedule:
- This is a rough draft; a final schedule will be given out at our first rehearsal.
- In the beginning, every person will not be required to be at every rehearsal; your attendance will depend on the scenes we are rehearsing.
- As we get closer to our show dates, you will be required to be at every rehearsal.
- If the quality of our show requires extra rehearsal time, we may add more rehearsals to this schedule as needed.
- On Sunday evenings, we have a cast dinner (supplied by cast member families) from 5:30-6:00 p.m., which gives us time to “bond” as a theater family. You are not required to be at dinner, but we highly encourage it.
- If you see that you will need to miss a rehearsal or two, due to prior commitments, please do not let this stop you from auditioning. Page 3 of the Audition Form is where you list any schedule conflicts. We’ll take your conflicts into consideration when casting the roles.
- Special notes for parents: We highly encourage the kids in our cast to bring homework, reading, and activities that they can do quietly to each rehearsal. We set aside a quiet corner of the gym for the kids to use to keep up with their schoolwork when they are not needed on stage. As parents of cast members, we may call upon you to help in other areas of our production (if you’re available), such as chair set up, painting scenery, taking pictures at rehearsals, obtaining sponsorships, locating items needed for props, costumes, etc.
